A Global Adventist Evangelistic Effort

The event may be over, but the relationship isn’t.

All Things New is an opportunity to introduce people to Jesus and connect them with a local church. But what happens after they attend your meetings may matter just as much as what brought them there.

Follow through intentionally so that every person has an opportunity to take their next step.

Build Your Follow Up Plan

THE STRATEGY

EVERYONE SHOULD GET A NEXT STEP.

Some people may be ready to study the Bible. Others may want to come back next Sabbath, join a small group, ask questions, or stay connected through prayer requests.

The goal isn’t to move everyone through the same process at the same time. It’s to know who responded, understand where they are on their spiritual journey, and make it easy for someone from your church to follow up in a meaningful way.

KNOW WHO CAME

Make it easy for your team to capture event attendance data and individual contact information so people don’t disappear once the event is over.

TRACK THEIR INTEREST

Pay attention to questions, prayer requests, Bible study interest, decisions, and other signs that can help you understand what someone may be ready for next.

FOLLOW UP PERSONALLY

Technology can help you stay organized, but relationships still happen between people. Give members clear opportunities to reach out, continue conversations, and walk alongside the people they’ve connected with.

The goal isn’t simply attendance.
It’s connection that continues.

Follow-through doesn't happen by accident.

When people attend events, ask questions, request prayer, or express an interest in learning more, those moments create opportunities for deeper connection. The key is making sure your team knows what happened, who should reach out, and what the next step should be.

DON’T FORGET WHO DIDN’T COME.

The people who attended aren’t the only ones who responded to your invitation. Someone who registered but never walked through the door was interested enough to take that first step. Maybe life got in the way. Maybe they got nervous. Maybe they simply weren’t ready yet.

Jesus told the story of a shepherd willing to leave the ninety-nine to go after the one. Good follow-through means noticing who is missing, too.

Reach out personally. Let them know they were missed, offer another opportunity to connect, and keep the door open for whatever their next step might be. Sometimes the person who didn’t show up may be the one most worth following up with.

Organize Your Lists

Separate contacts by how they responded, such as event registrants, attendees, Bible study interests, etc. Knowing where each person came from can help you determine the right next step.

Develop a Connection Plan

Decide how your team will follow up with each group, who will reach out, and what opportunities you’ll offer to help them stay connected.

Stay Consistent

Keep reaching out without overwhelming people. A thoughtful check-in, invitation, or helpful resource can keep the door open without making someone feel pressured.

Global moment. Local mission.

All Things New is a worldwide effort, but its impact will ultimately happen one person, one relationship, and one local church at a time.

Start preparing now. Build connections in your community. Create an invitation that fits your local vision. And when people respond, be ready to keep walking with them.

September 2027 is the moment. What your church does before and after can make the impact last.

Let's Get Started
